Viewing the ancient Chinese myth of a daughter splitting a mountain to save her mother through a contemporary feminist lens, this piece deconstructs the complex intergenerational dynamics between mother and daughter, and between women and society. The performance centers around a pressing question: within the structures and invisible disciplines of modern society, what are the actual "mountains" pinning Chinese women down?

More than a theatrical dialogue between ancient fable and the living body, the work serves as a direct invitation to the public. It asks the audience to collectively gaze at internalized oppression and explore how individuals might confront this weight through bodily awakening and collective action.

Ultimately, the piece seeks to break the silence embedded in the transmission of intergenerational pain. By bringing these unspoken burdens into the physical space, we strive to carve out and shape a language of expression that truly belongs to women.
